Jenevieve WilliamsEmail: jenevieveo14@gmail.comI would love to work with other council members to bring a second grocery option to Benbrook. It is critical for our community to seek another option. Our people deserve to experience the benefits, such as increased job opportunities and effective competition for quality grocery items. Benbrook is a changing community. I have witnessed its growth, over the past 20 years. My close relationship to the city is what makes me an ideal representative of long time residents and new alike. I will work diligently to make myself available to listen to suggestions, hopes, and concerns of the community.

I would like to see the City of Benbrook develop a clear and compelling brand identity that we can all rally behind. I would hope this identity would include a heavy dose of support for our schools and students. I also want it to include clear advocacy for supporting local Benbrook businesses. The City of Benbrook offers its residents all the basic services you would expect, and they do it very well. Yet, for all the wonderful things happening in our city, Benbrook seems to lack a clear and coherent identity around which its residents can coalesce.
My family and I have lived in Benbrook for nine years and we are highly committed to civil service and public education. I have worked professionally for 16 years in the non-profit sector. In that time, I co-founded a non-profit organization called Opportunity Resource Services. Over the past six years, our teams have secured over 10 million dollars in federal, state, and private education grants to serve low-income individuals in rural Texas communities. I’ve earned a Master of Arts in Communications from the University of Texas Arlington, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Church Ministry from Southwestern A/G University.
