Fort Worth redistricting: City Council special work session

March 22 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am CDT

Citizens for Independent Redistricting Fort Worth: A number of opportunities for public engagement are planned in the coming months, ending with the adoption of a new city council redistricting map in late March ahead of the May 2023 municipal elections.

Meetings of the Redistricting Task Force were postponed in December so the City Council could discuss details about map eligibility and provide clarification on the submission of maps from city staff members. The task force is scheduled to begin meeting again this week, and the timeline for redistricting activities has been adjusted to accommodate the December delay. The new timeline is posted on the city’s website.

March 22, 9 a.m., City Hall Room 2020. The City Council will conduct a special work session to produce a final map.

• March 29, 10 a.m., City Hall Council Chamber. The City Council adopts the final map.
