3. THE CURRENT PANDEMIC IS AFFECTING CITY BUDGETS AND SERVICES AND IS AFFECTING THE LIVES OF CITY RESIDENTS. HOW WOULD YOU ADDRESS THESE ISSUES?
Andrea Taylor
As part of my job, I am responsible for making sure projects come within budget. I am often tasked at taking a closer look to come up with creative solutions to save money yet still provide a safe project. I would apply this same technique as a council member. We can always take a closer look at what we are spending to see where we can save but still provide quality service to the residents.

The council and mayor's responsibility towards any development whether it is affordable housing, commercial, industrial, etc is to ensure that what is proposed meets the needs of it's citizen and is a development that enhances the community.

5. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE ROLE OF CITY GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE IN SUPPORTING SMALL BUSINESSES?
Andrea Taylor
I believe that city government should support all business. Without the wonderful businesses that are in Hurst we would not have the sales tax revenue to provide the quality of life that Hurst is known for.
