4. HOW SHOULD TECHNOLOGY AND VIRTUAL LEARNING BE UTILIZED POST-PANDEMIC? WHAT LESSONS DID WE LEARN FROM THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR THAT CAN BE APPLIED TO IMPROVE THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM?
Anthony Bichel
The district should continue to use hybrid and virtual instructional modalities, as well as some of the course management software programs we adopted due to the pandemic. Lessons learned? Access matters. Inequalities matter. Professional development matters. Technology matters. All means All.
El distrito debe seguir utilizando modalidades de instrucción híbrida y virtual, así como algunos de los programas de software de gestión de cursos que adoptamos debido a la pandemia. ¿Lecciones aprendidas? El acceso es importante. Las desigualdades importan. El desarrollo profesional es importante. La tecnología importa. Todo significa Todo.

5. WHAT IMPACTS HAS THE PANDEMIC HAD ON STUDENTS, AND WHAT MEASURES SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED TO OFFSET THOSE IMPACTS?
Anthony Bichel
Some students struggled while others prospered – there is no single model, policy or theory that addresses all the concerns involved. Hard fought instructional and technological gains should be cemented in place while district performance data is collected and analyzed for future review.
